What this policy covers
This policy covers our website, lumifide.co.uk, and the sign-up forms on it: early access for mothers, employer demo requests and employer interest from mothers. The Lumifide app has its own privacy notice, which you'll see before you use it.
What we collect
If you sign up for early access
- Your first name and email address
- Where you are right now, for example pregnant, new baby or toddler
If you tell us where you work
- Your email address and your employer's name
We use this to understand which employers mothers want us to work with. We will never contact your employer about you or mention your name.
If you book an employer demo
- Your name, work email, organisation, role and organisation size
- Anything you choose to tell us in the message box, including figures from our cost calculator
When you visit the website
Our hosting provider processes your IP address and basic technical information, such as your browser type, to deliver the website and keep it secure. Our fonts load from Google Fonts, which also receives your IP address. We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
| What we do | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Email you about early access, the beta and our launch | Your consent |
| Use your stage of pregnancy or motherhood to send you relevant updates | Your explicit consent |
| Record which employers mothers want us to talk to, and tell you if yours joins | Your consent |
| Respond to employer demo requests and follow up | Our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries |
| Run and secure the website | Our legitimate interest in providing a safe, working website |
We never sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run Lumifide. They only process your information on our instructions.
| Provider | What they do | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Loops | Stores sign-ups and sends our emails | United States |
| Cloudflare | Hosts the website and protects it from attacks | Global network |
| Google Fonts | Delivers the fonts used on the website | Global network |
We may also share information if the law requires it.
International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
- Early access and employer interest: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details, or until the beta ends and we no longer need them.
- Employer demo requests: for up to two years after our last contact with you.
- Website logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period for security, usually no more than a few days.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct it
- ask us to delete it
- withdraw your consent at any time
- object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict it
- receive a copy in a portable format
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. To use any other right, email hello@lumifide.com. We'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Children
Our website and sign-ups are for adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy when the way we use information changes, for example when the Lumifide app launches. The date at the bottom shows when it last changed. If the change is significant, we'll email you.
